DLA to PIP? was created by san0352
Forgive me if it may seem apparent to some as to when one will actually be assessed for PIP. but I am still not clear as to when I should expect this to happen. I am 62 years of age and have been receiving DLA for a number of years and was awarded it for and indefinite period. I live in postcode LE and originally thought I would be one of the first to hear from DWP. Could anyone please make it a little clearer as to when this is likely to happen. Many thanks

I'm afraid we cannot give you any specific date.

Under current plans, claimants with an indefinite award will start to be asked to claim PIP at some time after October of this year, claimants will be selected at random and the project will take many years to complete.

So it could be before the end of this year or many years before you are actually asked to claim PIP.
