Hi C,
I have no idea !!
The first time that I became aware of it was when I read it in the updated ESA Claims Guide.

I can't imagine the info being wrong.
I don't wanna start worrying again about maximus calling me up on time when others have had a two year reprieve.

Hi C,
I am afraid that whatever we may read on the deferral situation, the fact is that the instigation of the deferrals in Jan 2014 was simply a change to operational procedures, and not legislation.
Therefore, any change to those current operational procedures could occur at any time, in any area of the country, without any prior announcement.
I know several people who are now well into the 4th year of what was originally a 2 year prognosis.
Although I understand that not knowing when your reassessment will start is not a very nice position to be in, the people that I know in the same position look on the extra time that they have had without a reassessment as a positive.
They have a PDF ESA50 ready which they update regularly, which is all that they can do really.
On the premise that news of the deferrals in Jan 2014 had to be "dragged out" of the Minister in Parliament, I cannot see them volunteering information regarding the re-starting of re-assessments.

Hi Bro
So, I don't need to start worrying again, about being contacted in the coming weeks then?
The book says a one year deferral, that 12 months would give me breathing space and positive.
I can't imagine this site letting wrong information get into one of the handbooks though.
It was written in march 15 and it says reassessments to start in spring 2016, that would help me not feel so closed in and panicy, as being a year away, it is no longer looming too close.

Hi C,
Just to add,
I think the best indication that re-assessments have begun once more will be when we start to hear of this from our members.
Even then, re-assessments may restart in one geographical area where the backlogs have been reduced, but not in another where they still have a large backlog.
I think a lot of what occurs in the future will depend on Maximus's capacity to carry out Assessments and Reassessments.
They have to appear to be in control at this time to put a positive spin on them gaining the ESA contract.
All of my comments are pure speculation and my own personal view on things.
We may be enlightened further if we have a change of Government after the election.
Maybe, they will have the decency to come out and let people know what is going on.
I think that will be a big "Maybe" though, we will have to wait and see.
