We don't have extensive experience with the PC helpline, but if they are anything like the others then the front line staff are often under trained and unaware of how the benefits they advise on actually work.
Asking to speak to a supervisor or manager may be the only way forward, it normally requires a call back which can take up to 3 hours so a call this afternoon may not be answered until tomorrow morning.
