As far as I am aware the maximum your GP Practice can charge is £50. See

www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/2635.aspx?CategoryID=68&SubCategoryID=160

If you go to the practice and decide which entries you want a copy of then the figure may be lower.

Hi momx,

I agree with Gordon, the maximum should be £50.

As this is a Subject Access Request (SAR) covered under the Data Protection Act 1998, you might wish to contact The Information Commissioner (ICO) to gain confirmation before recontacting your G.P. Practice.

Hi momx,

Just to add,

The £50 maximum would apply to your records from your G.P. practice.

If you are trying to obtain X-rays, images, documentation from a Hospital, as that is a separate request, the Hospital could charge you a further £50 maximum.

So if you were trying to obtain records from your G.P. and a Hospital as they would be separate requests, that could cost £50 + £50 = £100 maximum.
