ESA stops at 65? was created by Steve
Hello, I receive ESA & I would like to know if it stops when I am 65 & it gets replaced with my Old Age Pension??

This seems to be what is going to happen to me on 28-03-15 when I am 65?

Many thanks, Steve.

Hi S,

ESA is a "Working Age" benefit, so once you reach your applicable retirement age you should receive your State Pension/any Pension Credit that you are entitled to.

I would have expected you to have received you SP Claim Pack by now, or in the near future :

See : www.ageuk.org.uk/money-matters/pensions/state-pension/

Thank you bro58, my Pension is all sorted but sadly creeps just above the Pension Credit limit.

Thanks again & have a good weekend, Steve.
