The woman who came to my house to do the assessment virtually told me I'd get it, she said that everybody was backing me up at the doctors and mental health team, I followed all the guides on here, and from the self assessment I should have got at least - the very least - the enhanced living and lower mobility. Hi A,
Welcome to Benefits and Work
I am really sorry to hear that your PIP Claim was refused !!
I am afraid that one cannot rely on what a PIP Assessor says regarding you getting an award, or not.
It is The DWP PIP Decision Maker (DM) that make the final decision.
If you wish to challenge the adverse decision, your first step is to make a written request for a Mandatory Reconsideration of the decision within one month of the date of the PIP Decision Notice letter :
Sending Documents to the DWP If you read through our :
PIP Appeals Guidance, it should help you with the process.
