A client has been refused PIP on transfer from DLA. At the same time her partner's Care Allowance for looking after her has been stopped. Is this connected?

Carers Allowance is dependant on the caree receiving DLA Medium or Higher rate Care, PIP Daily Living or Attendance Allowance.
If their partner's DLA claim has been closed and no award of PIP has been made, then their Carers Allowance would be stopped as well.
