I'm not sure why but this isn't sounding right to me, the date I get my money that is. I should have had it sooner shouldn't I like 10th January, that would be 4 weeks after my DLA runs out isn't it? What am I not seeing here? Also neither dept can agree on who is to pay my £10 Christmas box, each one says it's the others problem not theirs, so hence I've not got it.

I was awarded my PIP and it says on my letter, in front of me for clarification, that my DLA will end on Dec 9 2014. My PIP is going to be paid to me on 29 Jan 2015 at the rate of £552 per month (I think) I have full mobility and full daily both enhanced.

Hi J,
When transferring over to PIP from DLA, payments of your DLA will continue until 4 weeks after the date of the new PIP decision.
You should also remember that DLA is normally paid 4 weekly in arrears, generally on a Wednesday.
PIP is also normal paid 4 weekly in arrears.
With regards to your Xmas Bonus, as it seems that your were still in receipt of DLA in the first full week of December (2014) this would be your "Qualifying Benefit" not PIP:

I think the point Bro was making is that there will still be a DLA payment made after your DLA claim is closed.
