Just reading in the mobility February 2015 edition that you get a call and asked questions before they decide to see if you are eligible for pip is this so do you have to answer the questions

Hi R,

You "may" get a call from The Assessment Provider, (ATOS or Capita) if they feel that they need further information to make recommendations regarding you fulfilling the PIP criteria.

This is not a definite.

You do not have to take part in any phone conversations regarding this, however you should consider whether or not it would be in your best interests to do so.

PIP claimants whose claim had been disallowed used to receive a phone call from The DWP (As well as the Decision Notice Letter) to discuss and explain the adverse decision.

However, this phone call has now been stopped, although they state that the claimant can contact them for further explanation if they wish.
