Jerriann wrote: Hello I have been awarded zero points on my appeal for esa. I have CFS, Angina, Anxiety and Depression, Diabetes 2, Underactive Thyroid, Arthritis as well as reoccurring urine infections and anemia and a long term pain in my lower abdomen due to cysts on my ovary. In the past year I have had death separation divorce and my twins and I moved. It has been one hell of a year. My ex usually helps me with all of this but because we are now apart I took it on myself. I was terrible. I am far too proud if you like. I try not to tell everyone how bad I am. I am now seeing mental Health for my anxiety and depression. They are going to help me change my medications because they are no longer enough. I am so worried and upset about this all. I have been going to my JSA things and it has really taken in out of me. In between I sleep the whole day. Then ,ost of the time I could just curst out crying. My ex signed me up to this site to help me with my appeal and paid for my subscription bless him. I am trying to learn as much as I can so I can get ESA and continue to hopefully heal and get back to work in the future. In my past i have suffered so much you would not believe I am still standing. But I am just not very well. thank you for listening to me. Peace and love to all
Hi J,
Welcome to Benefits and Work Forum !!

Please don't feel embarrassed, many, many members find it difficult to give details of their limitations and disabilities.
It is not clear whether or not you have made a request for a Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) of the adverse 0 points/fit for work decision yet.
You should do so in writing within a month of the date of the fit for work decision notice letter that you have received.
Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS
Although a late request for an MR/Appeal can be made up to 13 months after the date on the adverse decision notice letter, if you can show good cause for the late request.
This could be your state of health at the time, your adverse personal circumstances, or indeed your lack of knowledge of how the system works.
Please have a read through the following information, then return here to pose any further queries that you may have, as and when they may crop up :

ESA FAQ’s
Once you issue your MR Request, the adverse decision will be looked at again.
MR's are currently taking around 6-8 weeks to deal with, and no matter what the DWP decide, you should then receive an MR Notice.
Once you have this, you can then make an Appeal directly to The Tribunal Service (TS). (if necessary)
Once your appeal has been accepted by The TS, you can then revert back to ESA, where you should be paid at The Assessment Rate.
Even if you are currently signing on for JSA, you should be able restrict your Jobseekers Agreement to take into account your limitations.
