Just received ESA50 form today to be re-assessed mu heart dropped as it took so long last time to resolve. I have epilepsy grand mal seizure every day, specialist not been able to help so been living with for years. Just wondering within the site where is the best to get information that might cover my condition as computers can be a strain on me with the epilepsy. Just come across the site and paid subscription. If anybody could help I would be thankful, the form doesn’t have to be in till 26 December. Thank you. :(

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I would start by having a look at our ESA Claim guides on the following link, they can be downloaded to your own computer and printed, either individual pages or the whole guide.

The title of your post suggests that you are already in the Support Group, it would be worth your looking at your previous ESA50 and any documentation that you have as to how you qualified for the SG.

In case you are not aware, your epilepsy, however severe, cannot in it's own right qualify you for the SG, so you must have qualified either through another Descriptor or through what is known as Regulation 35, which looks at the dangers you would have if you were required to perform Work Related Activity, this is not work but the activities that might prepare you for work and includes things such as your attending interviews at a JC+ or training courses and preparing documents such as a CV.

If you did qualify under Regulation 35 then you must show that you still meet the criteria, the fact that you previously did will not be considered in any new assessment. This is covered in more detail in the Three ways to get into the support group section of the guides.

If you have any specific questions, then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help, you might want to bookmark it in your browser so that you can easily find it.
