Following on from advice above, I’ve altered one sentence. Is this better?

From “ . . . I do not have any further evidence to add at this stage. . . .”

To “I wish to add the following evidence, a letter from my G.P. that my Welfare Advisor has requested. . . .”

I'm sure that will be fine.

Thank you Gordon. I will amend, print and post now. I did inform them by phone this morning.

Thank you again.

This only occurred to me when, I was walking back from the post-box. . Should I have stated which descriptors I feel I meet to qualify for the support group?

I also forgot to request a ‘Statement of Reasons,’ (SoR) both in the letter and on the phone this morning. I will phone again tomorrow and ask for a SoR.

Should I also follow up this request, for a SoR, in writing?

As you have said that you will be submitting more information, it's not a problem that you haven't explained which Descriptors you think you meet, you can do this in a letter which can accompany the GP letter when you have it.

We always recommend following up a request on the phone with one in writing, although all requests made over the should be actioned, experience shows that not all are.
