PIP cancellation- using evidence w/o medical was created by annie-rose
Hi All,
I had a medical scheduled for this week for a PIP claim I made in July but it has been cancelled and we've been told that there's adequate evidence to process my form. Could this mean they're rejecting it without a medical or is it more likely they're accepting it and providing low rate care or something?
Thanks!

Hi E,
We are hearing more and more from members where they have received a PIP award without the need of a F2F Assessment.
Recent guidance to PIP Assessors lays out scenarios where they can make recommendations without a F2F, and it seems that this practice is being encouraged.
See the most recent guidance : Here.
It is not possible to say what type of PIP award you will receive.
You could now contact The PIP Helpline for an update, as The PIP Assessor's recommendations will now be sent to The DWP PIP Decision Maker to make the decision.
Hopefully, it will be a positive decision.
Please keep us updated, and keep an eye on your Bank Account, as sometimes PIP monies are paid in before the claimant receives notification.

Ah so that's why my dwp went up this month then, it went up before I got my brown letter but I was too scared to query it. It had only gone up by four pounds so I wasn't too worried I was going to be carted off to jail.
