Had my assessment today by Capita in my home. I was extremely nervous and although I had read numerous reports of others experiences it still doesn't prepare you. The appointment was 11.30 and she arrived on the dot. She did not want a drink and immediately pulled out her laptop. I had my id on the table for her which she noted and details of medication. She had I assume my application loaded up and proceeded to ask me questions from the form. She asked about how my accident happened which caused the head injury. Could I prepare a meal, could I shower. Did I have problems dressing or undressing. Could I use the toilet. How far could I walk. Could I plan a journey. What were my symtoms. Could I manage my finances. She asked if I could do some tests. I had to touch my toes whilst sat down, put my chin on chest, turn head left then right but couldn't do the right and to stand. She said not to worry if I couldn't but thought better just to get it over and done with. There were probably a couple of other things but can't remember. She was very professional and didn't give anything away. She did not go over the report with me which I thought they did and said she did not make the decision but would send off the report but to expect it all to take about 6 weeks. Hopefully I have done enough and i have been very truthful. Fingers crossed

Badders
Hopefully you have. Although waiting times for a Decision have come down, they are still quite variable, I would expect you to hear somewhere between 2 to 8 weeks.
Good luck
