The first thing you need to ascertain is whether you are receiving ESA(CB) or part or all of your ESA payment is ESA(IR). Premiums are only payable if you are receiving ESA(IR) in part or in whole.
ESA(IR) is dependant on your household income, your savings and assets, and any hours that your partner works. See
Asset rule for ESA(IR) 24 hour work rule for ESA(IR) If you think that you are eligible for ESA(IR) but not currently receiving it then you should request an ESA3 form from the DWP that normally deals with your claim.
You should be able to get a reasonably accurate figure of what should be payable by entering your information into one of the online benefit calculators. See
