They should be sent out about 20 weeks, just under 5 months before the current award ends, if you have not received them 3 months before the renewal date then you should chase the DWP.
It is really important that your forms are with the DWP and you have confirmed this before the renewal date, as we have seen a number of DLA claims closed for failing to return the forms on time.
