Medical Records

I have the dreaded assessment next week, however, the DWP have not written to any of my medical team. My submission was over a 100 documents, due to my serious mental health illness etc, is it normal for the assessment to take place without contacting the medical team first?

Certainly for ESA and DLA, it is unusual for DWP to contact the claimant's
doctor/s, it looks as if the same is going to hold true for PIP.
