How my Capita home visit played out.

Last week my home visit appointment arrived. The HP was very friendly and courteous. As said in previous posts I had been given a grilling over the telephone before my home visit, to make it easier for the HP I was told. After the telephone grilling I was absolutely shattered as it took about an hour.

I just basically had to answer the same questions as I was asked on the telephone extra information call. So the point of that call I don't know? I didn't feel as though I was led into any answers but not helped either, nor did I feel like I was being tripped up. It is up to you how much you blurt out I guess. Time will tell.

The only things I had to do was touch the tip of my middle finger and thumb together on each hand and the HP linked theirs in mine and pulled quickly to assess my strength. Then I was asked if I could turn my head to left and right and put my chin on my chest, then could I touch my head and cross my arms and reach behind my back. Then I had an eye test of reading a few lines and then looking at an eye chart and that was it. I didn't have to do anything else, no walking no star jumps or touching toes or anything like that.

I was told I the form would be written up by them and sent of to the Decision Maker and I should hear back in 4 to 6 weeks.

Hope this helps those of you waiting for home visits.
