PIP f2f was created by neptuno
I had my assessment at home on 7th July and haven't heard anything yet. Judging by other posts this is not unusual as the decision may be scrutinised thus extending the process. What would be a reasonable time to wait before ringing capita or DWP ? I don't relish the idea of being passed from dept to dept ......

Hi Neptuno,
I think you have been very patient! In the normal scheme of things 8 weeks should be ample time, I don't think it is unreasonable to phone and ask where you are in the process.

You should be able to get a "straight" answer from both organisations.
I would start with Capita, they should be able to tell you whether the report has been sent to the DWP or if it is still with them, what the delay is.

Capita tell me the report was sent to DWP on 24th July.
The DWP have had it for 7 weeks.
Is this the norm ?

The DWP ought to be able to make a Decision in 6-8 weeks (it ought to be a lot quicker but that is another story), but there does seem to some regional variation and we are aware that the DWP are doing there own audit of the PIP reports. which has resulted in reports being returned to the Assessment Provider in the past.
I am afraid all you can do is to phone the DWP and find out what they are doing.
