My query is about a transfer from an existing DLA award to PIP, where the claimant has been refused any PIP award at all. The mandatory reconsideration was also refused and he has now appealed to the Tribunal Service.
What happens to his DLA payments during the PIP appeal? Do they continue until the Tribunal decision or stop?
I'm afraid that DLA payments will stop 4 weeks after a decision is made regarding the PIP, no matter what that decision is, and will not be restarted while you are awaiting appeal. If the tribunal goes in your favour you will get back-pay - although I do understand that is of little help when you have bills to pay meanwhile
