Continuous requests from DWP was created by del
Over several months now I have received approximately 4 letters from DWP requesting I provide updated information regarding my Occupational Pension. I submitted OP statements immediately I received them, have proof that DWP received them as signed for Recorded Delivery. I have even had correspondence from DWP, not standard letters but personally related to my case however they continue to send letters to me requesting I submit updated OP details, the exact same information as they already have.

This is beginning to really annoy me now as I feel as if I am banging my head against a brick wall. Any ideas how to put a stop to this as I feel it is like constant harrassment for something that I have already dealt with, it is DWP who are failing to respond not me

If you are able to I would start by phoning the DWP to confirm that they have received your previous letters, their internal mail system is appalling and it can take 10 working days for a letter to actually get to the department it was addressed to, also, request for a letter to be printed are often made several days in advance of it actually being produced, making it easy for letters to cross in the ether.

If they are in receipt of the information and are not actually requesting new information, then the only thing you can do about the further requests is to make a complaint, however, I am afraid this is unlikely to resolve the problem in the short term. If you have incurred additional costs for supplying the information again then it certainly worth mentioning this.

Thanks Gordon

Phoned DWP, call centre staff took full details to pass to relevant department so matter hopefully now being dealt with. Just waiting for few more days and if no response I will contact them again in writing to complain. Also since my phone call I have received another duplicate letter  I sincerely hope that is not the reply to my phone call, although it does seem rather quick for a DWP response.
