Is It Worthwhile Me Sending Extra Info?

I sent back my ESA form in January 2014 when it came through for a reassessment (currently in ESA support group). I have since learnt that I am on the waiting list to have a medical assessment but it's not known at this stage how long I'll be waiting for.
However my condition has worsened since January due to an additional problem with my back leaving me unable to sit or stand for even very short periods of time. I found out today that the MRI scan I had done has come back clear so it seems it is all down to the M.E & Fibromyalgia worsening.
My question is, would it be worthwhile me writing to Atos to get them to add this additional information of debilitation to my file even though I have already been selected to have a medical?
If yes, please could somebody give me the correct address to send it to?
Many thanks.

If you don't tell them about the deterioration then you risk the deterioration not being captured at the assessment.
We recommend you send a copy of the information to ATOS at the same address as you sent your ESA50 and to the DWP office dealing with your claim. The DWP address will be on any letter you have received from them about your ESA, if you don't know the ATOS address you can contact them at
Contact ATOS
Phone: 0800 2888 777 or 0113 230 9175

Remember you must relate anything you send them to the ESA Descriptors for it to carry any weight.

Hi S,
It should certainly do no harm to provide ATOS with any updates regarding your limitations since you returned your ESA50.
Ideally, you should address it to the same address as your ESA50 was posted to, with a covering letter of explanation.
Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS
If you don't still have that address, you can contact ATOS by e-mail :

Or telephone : 0113 230 9175. or 0800 2888 777

I don't have any extra evidence from GP etc except my MRI appointment letter so would only be sending a letter explaining the depleting situation. Is that still okay for me to send?

Hi s,
Quoting Gordon :
"Remember you must relate anything you send them to the ESA Descriptors for it to carry any weight."
Yes, it would be O.K. to send a written explanation of how you limitations have altered since returning your ESA50.
Tie the change in your limitations in with the relevant/matching ESA WRAG and/or SG Acivity/Descriptor.
Qualifying for the WRAG
Qualifying for the Support Group
e.g. An increase in your "Standing & Sitting" limitations could be tied in with Activity 2 of The :
WRAG (LCW)Schedule 2 Descriptors
And/Or Activity 2. of The : SG (LCWRA)Schedule 3 Descriptors
It could also be pertinent to Activity 1. (Mobilising) with respect to your ability to (Use) self propel a manual wheelchair unaided. (Even if you have never owned, used or been advised to use one)
