Hi was at the doctors this morning for ongoing health problems so after the doctor seeing me l asked her if dwp or atos have been in touch and to ones surprise she said yes on the 23rd of July so when l got home thought l give atos a call lady on the phone said that l do not need to go for face to face assessment and file has been sent back to dwp lam in the support group at the moment and have been waiting 10 months on a decision so was just wondering what all this means ?

Hi robm,

It sounds as if ATOS have decided they have enough information about your condition so have made their recommendation and passed your file back to DWP. You cannot be found 'fit for work' without a face2face assessment so, as long as DWP agree, this should mean that you have been awarded ESA. It is impossible to predict whether you might be in the WRAG or Support Group.

DWP still have backlogs so it could be a while yet before you hear from them. Please let us know when the Decision letter has arrived :)

Hi many thanks for getting back the lady on the phone at atos said it could be 4 weeks before l hear anything from the dwp will keep you posted on any developments once again many thanks for the invaluable advice on b+w forum

2-6 weeks, average 4 weeks.

Realistically, I think 4 weeks is probably as good a guess as any.
