Hi,

I have noted that with dressing/undresing you don't need issues all day. Just at least 50% of the time.

Something telling me I have asked this before......

With regards to the mobility moving around. Is the same principle applied in that as long as 50 % of the time you have issue then you could get points?

So where mobility is nil for at least one occassion in the day for less than 20 minutes. Would this be meeting the criteria?

Thanks

I assume this is in regard to a PIP claim :)

If you are unable to reliably complete an action more than 50% of the time then you should be regarded as unable to do it, it is possible to limit the number of hours that should be considered, for example it is reasonable to shorten the day to your waking hours and even further if there are activities that would reasonably be expected to be carried out at particular times of the day e.g. on getting up.

However, taking your example as posted, I think it unlikely that you would score any points. The obvious comments are; what is your mobility for the rest of the time and are there things that you need to do that can only be done when your mobility is nil?

Have a look at our PIP Claim guide for a more detailed explanation of "reliably" and "for the majority of the time".
