Ive been for my medical was created by MissK
I went for my medical last Friday, my appointment was for 11.0am, my son dropped me off at 10.55am, so that I wouldn't have to wait long, the chairs in the waiting room are very uncomfortable, anyway it got to 11.25am, and I still hadn't been seen, it wasn't even busy there was only me and one other person waiting, I told reception I was really struggling to be sat or even stand, and finally at 11.45, they called me in, the examiner was I think Polish, she did apologise, but by which time I was getting quite distressed, she asked me how long my journey had taken, how long I could sit for, I then explained being kept waiting for 45minutes was way beyond what I could do, or was it a ploy I wonder, then it was do I go shopping, do I drive do I cook, do I go upstairs by my self, where is my toilet, and who had done my hair for me, and all that lasted 10minutes, she then said, that if I didn't want to she wouldn't examine me, if I was already in pain, I told her I was, so she just said thankyou, and that was it, so I wait and see now, what happens next Im not entirely sure.

Hi MK,

Looking back on your previous posts, I see that this was a face to face assessment for ESA.

How you traveled to and from the assessment will be taken into account, and Yes, observations are made whilst you are in the building, and assumptions may be made from such observations.

ESA Medical – What to expect

The Medical Report (ESA85) compiled by the ATOS HCP using the LiMA software as part of the assessment will now be sent electronically to The DWP ESA Decision Maker. (DM)

Allowing for the workload of the ESA Dept dealing with your assessment, you should then receive a decision from The DM.

You could give it 10-14 days, and then contact the DWP for an update if you have not heard from them :

0345 608 8545 Press Option 3 for ESA.

Please keep us updated.
