Hi this is my first time using this forum, please could anyone give me any words of advice/help with my upcoming tribunal for dla re; osteoarthritis in both knees, I have an two operations in the last 18 months lt and rt knee the surgeon trimmed up the torn cartilage but the pain in both knees is still incredibly bad. Ive been told that im too young for knee replacements. Please help thank you

Do you have a date for your tribunal yet?
It is important to understand that the award of DLA depends on the care and/or mobility needs arising from your condition, not on the diagnosis per se. This is what you must focus on for the tribunal. It is worth looking at our DLA guides if you did not use them when filling in the application form.
DLA claims
Did you have any professional help with submitting your appeal? this help is getting hard to find due to funding cuts, but it is still worth doing a web search for 'welfare rights' plus your town/area/post code.
