Hi.
I've been looking at the descriptors for PIP, and I can only find a single one that applies to my condition of epilepsy (cooking with a microwave)! On the other hand, ESA addresses my condition quite well and I was able to put this down on the form (also good descriptors/points that apply to me).
Can anyone who has either this condition, or knows anyone, let me know if there was any success?

Hi Rockman,
We still haven't had many PIP decisions relayed to us so have not been able to get a 'feel' for how particular descriptors are being dealt with. As you know, ESA, DLA and PIP all look at the limitations caused by a condition rather than the diagnosis itself.

I am afraid that conditions such as Epilepsy and Parkinson's, where supervision is required will struggle to be awarded PIP unless they can show that the illness causes problems in other areas, you mention cooking, washing might be another area you could look at, also managing treatments.
