Well, right on schedule my wife's invitation to apply for PIP landed yesterday. We live in the North Warwickshire area for reference.

So phone call made to request application forms.

They also said that she may receive a phone call. What might that be for. Anything we need to be aware of that might be used to catch us out?

Hi T,

Details of what to expect in the PIP telephone interview can be seen from Pages 12/13 of our :

Hi Trevor, unfortunately mate the wait has just begun. The process from telephone interview to PIP form is very quick, but after that point you are likely to be waiting over 6 months for an actual assessment.

The interview is nothing to worry about, the lady on the phone with me was very understanding and they just ask general questions and are very friendly. They are not there to catch you out and as long as you have a genuine reason for claiming PIP then you will have no worries with being caught out as it were :)

I applied for PIP last October and have got my assessment next week.

With the existing DLA award ending in Sept, what will happen if what seems likely, that the decision on PIP is not through.

Will her award stop, and her car etc go have to go back?

Hi T,

On the premise that you continue with the PIP claim within the given parameters, payment of DLA will continue until 4 weeks after a decision is made on your wife's eligibility for PIP, whether the PIP decision is positive or adverse.
