Can anyone help me I have just finished receiving contributory based ESA in March I was asked to fill in a new medical form and Atos has had it since Feb 14. I have rang several times and told its in backlog.
I also was advised by the job centre plus to send letter to a decision maker to ask If they can reassess my claim and be in support group as my conditions have got worse and also have sent more info from Drs etc last week.
Has anyone else been in this position?

Hello and welcome to the forum. On the assumption that you are also new to the site, this FAQ should help you find your way around.
Welcome to Benefits and Work
I'm afraid that both ATOS and DWP have built up huge backlogs and it is not unusual to hear of claimants waiting many months for a decision. If you have new evidence you can submit it, it is worth sending a copy to DWP and another to ATOS.
Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS
There is little you can do to speed up the process although sometimes the claimant's MP is able to get things moving.
Contacting your MP
As an aside, I see that your username could be your real name. If you wish to change it, in order to maintain an element of anonymity, you can do so easily by following the advice in this FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

You say that your condition has deteriorated, was this since the ESA50 that you filled in February?
If it is then you can provide additional information at any time prior to when you are assessed, you should provide one copy to ATOS and one to the DWP office dealing with your claim, I would also recommend you take a copy to any assessment you might have.
If it was before the ESA50 was returned then there is no value in speaking to the DWP about this, as I would hope that the information is already contained in the questionnaire and any evidence that you attached to it.
