Hi and Thank You to all at Benefits & Works That work so Tirelessly to help us all :) I Have been a member for quite some time but its been ages since I last posted anything due to Illness and circumstances I very rarely use the computer now.

I was migrated from the old system of benefits and placed into the WRAG without a face to face. I appealed and was then transferred without having to actually go to an appeal into the Support group. All down I have no doubt to the info gleaned from this wonderful site

That was May 2013. I thought I could rest easy but no in October 2013 the dreaded white envelope appeared and I had to start the process of filing in again. Dutifully filled it in and sent off in the mean time another exact same form popped through the letterbox so called both DWP & ATOS , neither seemed to know what was happening but in the end after numerous costly phone calls they sorted it. Apparently not only do they not know what they are doing their computers are now following in their incompetent footsteps as well.

Fast forward to now. I am still waiting and still no contact from the Blighters either at DWP or ATOS. Not even a brown envelope to say what increases may be happening in this April.

My money is still being paid into the allotted bank account but the wording on the bank statement has now changed to and it reads as follows ... My National Insurance Number followed by DWP JSA, FP THEN THE DATE THEN SEVERAL MORE DIGITS ENDING IN CN AT THE END OF THE DIGITS. FOLLOWED AGAIN BY MY NI NO. DWP JSA. THEN THE AMOUNT

Previous to this months payment it just used to read MY NI No. followed by DWP EESA THEN THE AMOUNT PAYABLE .

There has been a slight increase to the money but it was the fact it included "JSA" that is worrying to me .. as I understand this to mean Job Seekers Allowance. Has anyone else had this sort of changed wording. Especially with me not hearing anything from them and it being almost six months now.
From ESA Support To JSA hopefully not. Sorry its so long winded Hope you can or one of the Brethren can help me on this Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Blue,

A claimant cannot be switched from ESA to JSA without their knowledge, if an ESA claim is terminated, for whatever reason, it is up to the claimant to decide whether, or not, to apply for JSA.

We had a member today who had a similar query, regarding a single payment, and the reason was because a payment had been made manually as it was due on a Bank Holiday day. Perhaps there is a similar reason in your case?

Hi and Thank you for your speedy reply back to me Mrs H & Gordon :)

Yes I noticed that post is very similar to mine after I had forwarded mine on to be posted.

Though I get my payment deposited into my Bank on a Wednesday.

I think why this is giving me more cause for concern is the fact I am still waiting on receiving Any kind of correspondence from DWP or ATOS as its been since October 2013 since submitting the ESA50 questionnaire form.

I know some have been waiting much longer than I have for an outcome as to whats happening with their claim but I haven't even had the usual notification of increases for April.

Seems rather odd to me. Though by now I suppose nothing should be surprising in the way they treat us, regardless, of the effects it has on those its directed at.

Hopefully if anyone else has had this on their bank statements they will let us know and it might be a case of thats the new way it's shown now  Safety in numbers maybe?

I'll post back next time my payment is deposited. Providing the DWP & ATOS have mercy on me :S :P

As I said in the other topic, an ESA payment marked as JSA means that it is an ad hoc payment, if your ESA payments were not effected by the Easter break I would be tempted to contact the DWP about this as there should be no other reason for your ESA payments to be changed in this fashion.

You should have received the uprating letter, again it is worth checking as it could be because the DWP have misaddressed the letter.

Thank you Gordon

I will have to Psyche myself up to it and hopefully won't be given the runaround to much (metaphorically speaking of course ;) )

As I am having some in-hospital treatment from tomorrow It will more than likely be after next Wednesday & as I am due payment on 30th April it will be interesting to see if this is still happening.

Will keep you posted. Once again thank you for your swift attention in this matter.

Best Regards & Take good care :)
