Going from DLA to PIP

My question is, will the PIP people look at my DLA paperwork for all the letters and reports or should I include them with this PIP claim?
Also, I am currently having CBT but my counsellor has said that any report for this would come from my GP and not her, is this the way this usually works?
I am going to put her details on the form anyway but am a little concerned that, should she pass the buck to him, he will miss the finer points of my mental issues since much of it will be between myself and the counsellor.
This whole thing is hideous, start to finish, coupled with the ESA form that landed on the mat this morning I'm shaking in expectation of it all turning to c**p. When it comes to any face to face stuff I'll be a quivering wreck.

Welcome to Benefits and Work
When making any application to DWP, it is always wise to start from scratch and assume that they have no prior knowledge of your situation. Every form should be filled in thoroughly and any evidence submitted again if still appropriate. Make full use of our PIP resources when filling in the form.
Help for PIP claimants
Many health professionals are currently refusing to supply reports for DWP, preferring to wait for DWP to contact them. However, it is actually rare for DWP to approach health professioanls for details so you should supply as much as possible yourself.
As an aside, it seems that your username might be your real name. If you wish to change it, in order to maintain a degree of anonymity, you can do it by following the advice in this FAQ.

I have all the documents from my DLA claim so will include them, nothing has changed for the better, quite the contrary - I'm hoping the DWP can understand that osteo-arthritis is a degenerative condition that doesn't improve.
Need to look at the ESA guides later since that delightful form landed on the mat this morning.

I've just finished filling in the all the boxes and started sifting through the old GP letters and stuff.
I have nothing recent, most is from July 2012, a couple of bits from around July last year. Is any of it relevant now or should I just leave it out?
Also (sorry), my ESA form is asking for the same type of evidence docs as the PIP one, only I'll have to send everything (if it's relevant) off with the PIP form, which is due sooner. I have no printer for my pc and no local photocopy place..
Any advice?

Never send original copies with your forms unless specifically required to do so, if they lose them, which they do, then they are gone for ever. You need to send copies, try doing an internet search for "office supplies" or "copy services", most towns and even villages have a some sort of service.
Whilst older reports and letters will carry less weight than newer ones, if there is reason to believe that your condition has not improved since they were produced then they should still be seen as valid in regard to your claim.
