So for anybody expecting a reassessment at this time and you don't receive a esa50 when you expect one then just wait until you do receive one and try not to worry too much as you will get one in the course of time.
Hope this information is useful.

I don't think there are any discrepancies between the News Item and the advise in the forum
At the moment all ESA re-assessments are being deferred for two years.
Whilst the current delays in the system continue it makes sense for the DWP to continue with this policy.
If the queues reduce, then it is reasonable to assume that the DWP will begin re-assessments again, although I would not expect them to do so in bulk (initially) as this might simply create a problem again.
We know that the DWP are reviewing their decision on a month by month basis, this undoubtedly means that they are considering; will we defer and who?
This is an operational procedure so it can be modified or removed by the DWP at anytime without referral to Parliament.

Thanks Gordon. It's clearly very much a case of wait and see then. Though it's presumably reasonable to think that deferments are likely to continue for a while yet if the chaos in the system is as bad as has been reported.

Given that we had a member report a 13 month delay in getting an ESA assessment, I think you are correct

Do you have a link for that one, please Gordon? I have tried searching, but can't find any combination of search terms which turns up anything remotely useful.Gordon wrote: Given that we had a member report a 13 month delay in getting an ESA assessment, I think you are correct.

Hi c,
After putting "13 Months" into the site search engine, I found this:
