I received my DLA renewal form but Im in a postcode which is now sopposed to be transferring to PIP.Do I fill out the DLA renewal form or wait for a PIP form? I find the whole process very stressful so I dont want to fill out the DLA form and find out I will have to do it all over again for PIP! :(

Hi NW,

Are you sure that you are in one of the areas for DLA to PIP transfer, as there were delays :

www.gov.uk/government/publications/pip-postcode-map-uk

My best advice would be that if you have been sent a DLA renewal form that you should fill it in and return within the time restraints given.

See : DLA Guides & DLA FAQ’s

If you fail to return the DLA renewal, and your fixed term award expires, you will be forced to make a fresh claim, and this would definitely be for PIP, which depending on your limitations can be much harder to get.

We have heard quite a lot of success stories recently with DLA renewals.
