Hi Noodles,

This certainly won't do any harm. You should send it to the address on any letters from DWP

Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS

Latest Copy of hubby's ESA50 duly sent off to the a DWP 'Decision Maker' via recorded delivery as per norm, the other copy went back to ATOS.

Question :

We're do the DWP keep information, in some cases for such long periods of waiting time, more specifically, were and how does 'The Decision Maker' keep forms and supporting documents in the current climate of things bearing in mind some people are waiting for 9 months or more ?

Hi N,

ATOS will keep your ESA50 and ESA file until they have carried out an assessment and made recommendations.

Once this is done, all of your ESA file and documents are returned to The DWP DM.

Whilst the assessment process is ongoing, and pending any Mandatory Reconsideration/Appeal, the DWP will keep your file in the relevant department.

Once an ESA assessment decision has been dealt with to fruition, all files will then be sent for storage to The DWP Data Controller.
