DPA SAR Letter Sent, but only received ESA72

As per the advice given by this very helpful site I wrote to the DWP a month ago and addressed it to the Data Controller marked DPA SAR with the following 3 requests.
Please provide the length of the prognosis of the support group decision of **/**/13, and the recommended date for the next review.
Please also advise which support group descriptor/s were applied in making the decision of **/**/13.
Please can you also send a copy of the ESA85A and LT54 and all other documentation that was used in coming to the support group decision of **/**/13.
My partner has now received an ESA72 indicating his support group award with a review date approx 3 years from the start of the IB to ESA transfer.
We are very relieved to read 3 years but there is no ESA85A nor LT54 and no other documentation or mention of the support group descriptor/s applied.
Is it normal for them to send an ESA72 when a DPA SAR is made?
On what other occasions is an ESA72 sent?
Could this just be the first of several communications he will receive regarding the DPA SAR and the other requested documents will be sent later?
Have they possibly sent the ESA72 as a minimum SAR and if so what should we do next?
Thank you as always.

Hi p,
We are aware of The : ESA72 Form , however, not many members have actually received one.
There must be an ESA85A Medical Report if the SG award was made without the need of a face to face, and there should be an LT54 Form which would have been compiled by The DWP DM.
You now have written verification of the 3 year prognosis, but if you have not been made aware of which of the SG Descriptors were applied, you can push further for this, as well as copy of the ESA85A, LT54.
If your response came from the Data Controller, then they sometimes provide an e-mail contact, if so, you could recontact them via this, to request the missing documents/information.
If no e-mail address has been given, you would have to submit a further SAR, highlighting the missing docs/ information.
The threat of a complaint to The ICO may help :

The ESA72 came in an envelope on it's own, no email address and no sign it was from the Data Controller. Could it be that the other docs are coming separately and the ESA72 is a printed form with the address and NI etc. details it has slipped through on it's own?
Do you think before complaining we should wait a week or so to see if anything else arrives and then send another SAR stating that the requested documents have not been received.
Also is it better to send the actual Request For Personal Information SAR form from the DWP website or another letter?
Thanks P

Hi p,
So it appears that your SAR has not been dealt with by The Data Controller.
If it had, you would have received an accompanying letter to clarify this.
The DWP are supposed to comply with a SAR within 40 calender days from receipt of The SAR.
If more than 40 days have elapsed, you can reissue the SAR Form, or a letter (making it clear that this is a formal request under DPA 1998) with the threat of a complaint to The ICO.

Are not unable to clarify if things can be are sent separately?
I am also wondering if this has happened to anyone else reading this thread?
Thanks as always.

Hi p,
It depends how long it is since you issued The SAR, your previous query regarding this was some 3 months ago.

If 2-3 months have passed it is unlikely that you will receive anything further from The Data Controller.
It is not unusual for people to have to make a second request for information previously requested in a SAR.
