i recently was awarded higher mobility and lower care i am thinking of appealing this. The problem is I had this award 4 years ago I then applied for higher/middle care which was refused as was the appeal in which they cancelled my award completely. welfare rights even represented me and were very surprised as was my doctor
I received these new forms 3 weeks ago which i was surprised about and received the award 10 days later id like to ask for a reconsideration they didnt contact my doctor who said she would support me for my care needs i just dont want to lose what i have just received could they take what i have got at this stage? wouldnt want to risk it ifv this could happen any comments thanks

Yes, I'm afraid that - at reconsideration or appeal - every decision is open for consideration. This includes your current award being lowered or even removed. I must stress that this is not common, but it is possible.

Is there any risk to challenging a decision?
