Constant ESA50's ??

It is now nearly 6 months since I returned it to ATOS and I've not heard anything. I've phoned DWP a couple of times, but since I'm currently in the Support Group, although it's stressful, I'm content to let sleeping dogs lie.
My question is, if my benefit is renewed and the prognosis is for 6 months again , does that mean that they will immediatley send me another ESA50 ?

Hi jxx,
ATOS/DWP are currently taking much longer than normal to carry out assessments/reassessments.
New ESA50's are generally issued a couple of months before the end of the recommended period before reassessment. (The Prognosis)
e.g. With a 12 months prognosis, one would expect to receive a new ESA50 some 10 months after the date of the ESA award, although this is not written in stone.
By law, a reassessment of any award of ESA can take place 3 months after the date of said ESA award.
How often will I be reviewed

I am in the same boat as your self, as long as they are paying you I would let it be, as Bro58 has said there timeing for sending out these forms are unpredictable as are there acting on the returned esa50.
I am thinking these esa50 forms are sent out via a computer generated date system but someone may correct me on that.
Regards, Derek.

Has anyone been in the position of having a long wait for a decision, and then getting another ESA50 straight away ?

Hi jxx,
As any prognosis should run from the date of the decision made by The DWP DM to make an ESA award, and The DWP DM cannot make a decision until ATOS have carried out there assessment and returned their recommendations to The DWP DM, then the date that you returned your ESA50, or indeed the date that ATOS compiled the resulting medical report (with or without a face to face) is not relevant to when you receive your next ESA50.
We have heard from members where they have sent an ESA50 in due to reassessment, and unbeknown to them, ATOS have carried out a paper assessment, returned the recommendations to The DWP, and the DM has made a decision to keep the claimant in the same "Group" of ESA, but the claimant has not be informed.
You could contact ATOS for an update :
