Hello you helpful people.

Well, so much for DLA being replaced by PIP. My DLA runs out in April next year and this morning I received an invite to reapply for DLA (North East England in case different things are happening in different regions) and I don’t need asking twice! At least I know where I am with DLA.

The problem I have is that last time I filled my form in using the interactive pdf they had online. However when you visit the gov.uk site Adult DLA forms are no longer an option.

So does anyone have, or know where online I can find a pdf that you can fill in on the computer (I’ve found a downloadable pdf but I can’t input any information on it)

The form I have been sent is DLA1A Adult January 2013. I’ve had a look around on here but unless I’m missing it I can’t find one.

Second question, just to make sure, the last lot of DLA guides will still be the ones to use won’t they? or do I need to consider the changes in regulations from when PIP came in? Not that the walking distance will matter as I fall into the unable to walk category anyway.

Thanks in advance.

You are currently outside the area being transferred to PIP which is why it is still DLA.

I am afraid their are no adult DLA forms online anywhere so you will have to write out the new form by hand, however, you can add extra pages to the form, so you can type any large sections of text, and just write a reference to it on the form, make sure any additional pages are numbered (e.g. 1 of 2) and have your full name and National Insurance Number.

There is a new set of DLA Claim guides in the Members area, I think have been some "recent" changes to the layout of the form, none of the PIP Regulations or Descriptors have any relevance to DLA.

Thanks, I feared that would be the answer, so glad the government takes the equality act so seriously.

I'll get my sister to do what we used to do, which was just retype the form, as I do everything possible to make sure they can't accidentally lose the extra pages, so they get woven into the form.

Roll on another 160 plus pages DLA form.

Hi K,

As you have a lifetime/indefinite DLA award, one would assume that you are being reviewed for DLA under the :

The Right Payment Programme

I have recently also received the full DLA claim form (DLA1A) to renew my claim.

The interactive pdf version of the form, that you can fill-in on the computer, save and print, IS still available online - the form has been archived by The National Archives and is here:

webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/+/htt...orms/dla1a_adult.pdf

Before you use the form, please make sure you should be claiming DLA and not PIP - if you should be claiming PIP, a DLA claim will not be accepted. Check what you should claim with the 'PIP Checker' on this page:

www.gov.uk/dla-disability-living-allowance-benefit/overview

If you know you should be claiming DLA, download the pdf form to the computer, then open it in Acrobat Reader version 8.1.2 or later.

When you open it, a warning message about claiming PIP will be displayed, just click 'I have read this message', then you will be able to enter details on the form, save it to finish later and print.

I realise this may be too late for those who have posted above, but it may be useful for others renewing their claim.

Hope this helps.
