I have a mental health problem and i would like some information when to claim for this benefit in the future Do you have to do it online or is there a paper based application form.
Do they have a disability section to fill in online for the application and will people have to go to a medical or can this be done without having to attend a medical as my case is very complex.
I have never had to attend a medical would this be the case in the future

Hi gm,
Sickness/Disability benefits such as ESA will not be "replaced" by UC until after 2017. (if at all)
See this extract :
"• IDS insisted that his plan to introduce UC by 2017 was broadly on track. By the end of that year (the original target for full implementation) "the vast majority of people" would be on it, he said. The only exception would be about 700,000 people receiving employment and support allowance (ESA), a disability benefit."
