Many thanks for your guides - I followed them to the letter. IB to WRAG without a medical, I appealed and told them that I would notify them of the grounds for my appeal when I had taken legal advice on the basis of their assessment and score sheet. I had a letter asking me to withdraw my appeal as they were planning to review the decision. I thanked them for the review but said that I wanted the appeal to continue pending the result of the review.
I attended my first WRAG appointment at the Job Centre with my carer and had a letter the following day to say that I had been placed in the support group.
Hacks me off that they must have known at the WRAG appointment but never said anything, BUT the good news is that I'm in the support group (for now).

Couldn't have done it without your help.

That is great news Swanny, thank you for letting us know - and for your kind words about this site :)

If you want to know when to expect reassessment, you can phone DWP and ask for the 'prognosis'. If you want a copy of all the paperwork associated with the claim you should write to DWP and make a Subject Access Request (SAR).

As to the WFI, I don't know that the JobCentre Advisor would neccessarily be aware that the decision had been made to put you into the Support Group as communication between various departments is not the best!

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
